Guillobel Brazilian Jiu Jitsu took home a total of nine medals from this year’s Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Pan Americans recently held in Irvine. Five Gold, one Silver and three Bronzes. This is academy founder Sensei Paulo Guillobel’s fifth-time winning the Gold at the Bjj Pan Ams.
“All of our hard work, training, dedication and commitment is reflected by these victories,” says Guillobel, a 4th Degree Black Belt. “Our medals were won by academy students of different levels of training, spanning from White Belt to Black Belt.”
Three of the Gold medal winners are Guillobel instructors who currently coach classes from the Kid’s Empowerment Program level all the way up through Masters level at Guillobel BJJ Academy.
This year’s the Pan Ams, held in Irvine March 28th through April 1st, was the largest in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu history. An estimated 3,300 athletes competed on the mat.
“Out of the twelve competitors representing us, nine earned medals, definitely something to be proud of,” added Guillobel.
