BJJ San Clemente Schedule for This Weekend

Our BJJ San Clemente team is in action again: this weekend we’ll NOT have any jiu-jitsu class (Sat, 03/12/11)

Our entire Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Team, including our kids, teens and adults, will be at the 14th BJJ Copa Pacifica Championship, hosted by BJJ black belt Cleber Luciano, at Westminster and because of that we’ll be closed this Saturday, March 12th.

‘Every single member of our BJJ San Clemente team knows that we are very proud of them. It’s impressive to see how our family have grown so strong physically and mentally… there is such a good bond, energy, vibration in our san clemente team that when they step on the mat, they know that we are there with them. As we say, together we go faster and further all’, says our jiu-jitsu head instructor.

So if you want to cheer for your brazilian jiu jitsu friends, please come watch with us. If you need a ride, let us know by calling Cata at 949 2283870. We’ll be there both days. Ah! And don’t forget to wear your BJJ San Clemente T-Shirt!

San Clemente Jiu-Jitsu: Demonstration at Las Palmas School

Watch Our San Clemente Jiu-Jitsu Demonstration at Las Palmas

San Clemente Jiu-Jitsu is the proud sponsor of the Jog-a-thon at our local San Clemente elementary school. The Las Palmas is a recognized school for its unique approach: they teach and educate our kids in a bilingual environment. Our Jiu-Jitsu School joined forces and did an amazing jiu-jitsu demonstration at Las Palmas, last Thursday, March 3rd, during the Health Week (organized prior of the running event).

San Clemente BJJ head Instructor Sensei Paulo and Andre taught the kids what takes to be a jiu-jitsu black belt. Besides having a lot of fun, all the children learned the Black Belt Attitude, the 3 kids of disciplines, and how to focus (and of course some self-defense techniques). ‘It’s amazing to teach jiu-jitsu to kids’, says Sensei Paulo after being huged by so many kids.

A lot of our jiu-jitsu practitioners are also students of the Las Palmas School. Enzo, Luciana, Eva, Jonas, Hadley, Christian (Garret. we missed you) brought their uniforms and helped us with the demonstration. What a great way to show what our San Clemente Jiu-Jitsu is all about!

San Clemente Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu wants to warning every parent: even our quiet and small San Clemente cityoffers some danger. “Our Martial Art improves every practitioner’s confidence, health and discipline, and of course self-defense in case that they need. And trust me, emergency and violence happens, even in our so loved San Clemente… “, says our Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Professor.

Violence in our town: News from San Clemente Times

‘The jury trial began today for a former San Clemente pastor who is facing multiple charges of molestation of a 14-year-old female parishioner. Ricardo Maffey, a one-time minister with the Apostolic Christian Church, is on trial for five counts of lewd acts upon a child between the ages of 14 and 15 and one count of luring a child with intent to commit a sexual offense… Maffey, of Santa Ana, was originally charged in November 2008. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu San Clemente: building warriors for life

Our Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu San Clemente Head Instructor Paulo always says that tournament is the best way for you to become the best in what you do, and also (most important) to become a better person. The day and time for the battle pushes you forward. There is no delays or excuses.

With that in mind, one of our Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu new student showed that he understands Sensei Paulo’s way of life. With only 3 months training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (2x week) at our San Clemente facility, Justin brought his A game to Pedro Soriano’s 3rd In House Competition. Justin showed that winning or losing isn’t the most important part of a competition. His courage for stepping on the mat and embracing the challenge speaks for itself.

Congratulations, Justin! Our Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu San Clemente Kids Competition Team welcomes you.

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu San Clemente: Medal means better performance

We from Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu San Clemente are ready for one weekend, which means one more tournament, actions and emotions. But before it’s time for the big boys to show their BJJ game to the world, let’s remember last weekend through our Sensei Andre’s eyes:

“The last weekend of February was great for our Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Martial Arts San Clemente! Our Orange County Jiu Jitsu Little Champions showed some awesome skills and brought home several medals (and medals means better performance). We would like to say a special Thank You to Black Belt Professor PedroSoriano for hosting this tournament, as well as the Parents, for showing tremendoussupport, as always. Congratulations to all competitors and Medal Chasers; All the hardwork you put in the Academy was displayed at the Competition.

Now it is time to go back to the “drawing board” and keep working hard and smart for the BJJ Upcoming Tournaments, such as the Abu Dhabi Trials, Copa Pacifica and IBJJF Pan American Championship! March is going to be an Action Packed Month! The Mats have been full of Great Training at our Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu San Clemente (including our Black Belts) and it is beautiful to witness daily improvement on the skills and lives of Children, Teenagers and Adults. Some may call it luck… I say: It is the magic of synergy and the harder we work, the luckier we get!
