Jiu-Jitsu Martial Artist Kid saved friend from a pit bull attack

As a 24/7 professor, I see daily how our Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu programs in San Clemente empowers ALL our students, with no exception. Some of our martial artists improve tremendously their confidence, others become kind, others are on the best shape of their lives… And the list of benefits goes on and on.

But what I want to share with you today is also very powerful. This video above shows that a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioner not only benefits himself or herself from training. On our mats we teach about friendship, about be respectful, kind to anyone. In other words, every one of our students knows that we are responsible for the person on our side.

The reality shown on this video proves that our Martial Art EMPOWERS ANYONE – no matter how old, or big, or strong, or what gender the person is. And even if they just have 2 months of training, after every class when they live the mat, they already became a better person.

See you on the mat,

Sensei Paulo Guillobel

Nico Coli, our Surfer and Martial Artist

Our Student Nico Coli proves that Jiu-Jitsu is a great way to improve anyone’s surf performance. Niko started to attend our Jiu-Jitsu Little Kids Empowerment Program more than a year ago at our academy in San Clemente. All he knew by the time was just how to surf and skateboard. But little by little our new student started to get familiar with our Martial Arts, its techniques and warm up.

Sensei Paulo Guillobel noticed Nico’s improvement on the mat and in the water – reinforced by his medals earned in surf tournaments. Guillobel then upgraded Nico for our older program, the Jiu-Jitsu Kids Empowerment Program ,  and gave him a sponsorship to support his surfing career.

Today Nico wins and goes to final in almost every surf tournament. Thanks to his talent, thanks to Jiu-Jitsu.
