Brazilian Jiu Jitsu female black belt Penny Thomas is one of our 3 top black belts that teaches at our San Clemente School. This month Penny took some time off from teaching to compete all around the world. Her first stop, her homeland South Africa, hosted its BJJ Nationals Championship this weekend. Penny Thomas, one of the favorites, won the BJJ no gi and gi division, bringing home 2 gold medals.

Before she comes back to our so loved San Clemente, Penny will represent us at the ADCC championship in England. The ADCC is one of the best grappling tournaments in the world. Let’s cheer for her, after all, our San Clemente Jiu Jitsu Academy is a big family.
